Ceesie finally found a name for his upcoming cookbook.
After long thinking, deliberating, arguing and asking for advice I made my final decision.
My cookbook will be called: MODEL KITCHEN BY CESAR.
WHY? Cause I wanna give a good example of what people should eat and I'll show you what models cook in the kitchen.
The book will be on sale at the beginning of November and will be a world wide publication, in 3 different languages (for now): Dutch, English and French.
Are you excited to discover what the top models eat to keep their bodies in shape?
Well Ceesie is very and can't wait to hold the book in his hands.
What next... A song? My own show or a workout video? ;-)
Ceesie does it!

sneaker freak

Do you remember when I posted on my blog that every running shoe is disgusting? Well, Ceesie finally found a pair that looks good.
Normally I always wear boots, but since I discovered these Nike running shoes I just can't leave my house without.
In NYC I walk a lot and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT!!! I walk everywhere from my house in Tribeca.
When I have a casting on 55th street and 5th avenue, I walk. When I go to Williamsburg to meet my friends, I walk. Ceesie is a walker and I realised that walking in heavy boots is not ca va for my poor feet. So Ceesie goes now for a sexy/chic sporty look to walk down the streets of NYC.

Hamptons fun

My friend invited me to go to her house in the Hamptons and Ceesie obviously couldn't turn down a fun weekend at the beach.
It's always great to trade the rush of the city for some fresh air and relaxed vibes.
We spent the entire weekend on the boat, tanning, swimming, drinking, shopping,... We did it all, I even went to a real american BBQ. (Tons of burgers and coleslaw involved)
Having changed 2 skin tones and gaining 3 pounds I'm back in Manhattan for another week of gym, castings and photo shoots.
Summer has officially started!

Kale is KING

Ceesie's newest food obsession is Kale! (For my dutch readers, boerenkool.)
I tried Kale the first time a few months ago in NYC and from that very moment I was hooked.
Not only is it extremely yummie it's also one of the healthiest vegetables around.
For a green, kale is unusually high in fiber. This helps create the bulk you need to fill you up and to keep you full for a good amount of time.
I also have the feeling that kale is a new "it" thing in NYC restaurants. My favorite place to eat a divine kale salad is @Tiny's in Tribeca. They are famous for their kale salads, my friend who works there told me they sold 842 salad in one month!

Here's my personal recipe for a delicious and healthy kale salad. (2 people)
- Fresh kale for 2
- 1 avocado
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 apple
- 1 small cucumber
- 1/2 red onion
- 1 hard boiled egg
- 1 handful walnuts
- 2 grilled chicken breasts
- Balsamic vinegar

Wash the fresh kale, cut into small pieces and put in a big bowl.
Boil some hot water, for the egg.
Cut the avocado, apple, tomato, cucumber and the red onion in small pieces and add to the green salad.
Place egg in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
Grill the chicken with some herbs and cut into small pieces, when ready.
Add the hard boiled egg, walnuts and the grilled chicken to the salad and mix everything. Add a little bit of salt and pepper and ready you are to enjoy a healthy salad.
Serve with some balsamic vinegar on the side.

Polo C'est la vie

Past weekend Ceesie got invited to go see his first polo match ever in his life and I have to say it was a great first experience.
We took a ferry to Liberty state park, had some fancy finger food and chit chatted with some people while watching the polo match. Rachel Zoe, Hilary Rhoda, Coco Rocha, Derek Blasberg, Poppy Delevigne and Zoe Saldana all came over to watch the game... A great saturday afternoon.
